Registration as a British Citizen

You can register to become a British citizen if you fulfill the below mentioned criteria:

• you were born in the UK on or after 1 January 1983
• you are under 18 when you apply for registration as a British Citizen
• one of your parents has become a British citizen or settled in the UK since you were born

You can also register as a British Citizen if your parents are applying for naturalisation.
